Please use this facility to book appointments for Macclesfield MOT & Service Centre only.
The booking system below is to be used by Cheshire East Council Customer Services and Licensing for Taxi MOT’s. It is not available for customers to book their own MOTs.
Taxi appointments can only be booked Monday – Friday at the following times by Customer Services:
- 11:00 – 12:00
- 12:30 – 13:30
- 14:45 – 15:45
The appointments are one hour each. Each day has three slots for taxi tests.
- Appointments cannot be booked less than 5 working days in advance (unless it’s a section 68 or taxi retest)
- Private Hire vehicles can be tested at any of the testing stations.
- Hackney carriage vehicles have to be tested at their local MOT centre because of the measured mile for the meters. Macclesfield at Macclesfield MOT & Service Centre. Crewe, Nantwich and Congleton Hackney’s have to be tested at Pyms Lane, Crewe.
- Customers need to arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointment time. Arrival after the appointment start time may result in the test being cancelled which would incur additional costs.
- Customers using Macclesfield MOT & Service Centre should arrange directly with the garage when a retest can be carried out and not to book a full slot on here. The telephone number is 01625 500676 / 432868.
When entering TAXI bookings details, PLEASE complete the REGISTRATION, MAKE & MODEL fields and please place the name of the Taxi Company/Driver and the plate number (Hackney or Private Hire) in the NOTES field on the booking form (all other fields can be kept the same). Thank you.
Only TAXI Tests booked via Cheshire East Council personnel will be considered as valid.
